Rusty Drewing Collision Center is the body shop for the Rusty Drewing Automotive Group, and for a good many people in Jefferson City who have never bought a car from us.

Serving mid-Missouri since 1977
Rusty Drewing has been in the car business in mid-Missouri since 1977, and the collision center is part of that same family-owned group. Our shop on Christy Drive carries on the work that used to be done under the Riley Collision Center name. A lot of the customers, and a fair number of the habits, came with it.
What that means in practice is unglamorous: a strong, long-tenured crew, continuing education every year because the technology in vehicles will not sit still, and a preference for telling you a realistic completion date rather than a flattering one.
We are not only here for people who bought a car from the group. We repair all makes and models, foreign and domestic, and most of the vehicles on our floor on any given day were bought somewhere else.
A body shop with a dealership behind it
An independent shop lives or dies on the next job. We are part of a family-owned group that has been here since 1977 and sells and services cars a few minutes up the road, which changes what we can do for you when something goes sideways.
If a repair runs long, rentals are arranged through Jay Wolfe. You book with them directly. If your windshield cracked in the same wreck, Rusty Drewing Auto Glass is in this building, not across town. If your car needs mechanical work the collision did not cause, there are franchised service departments in the group that can do it.
And if something goes wrong after you drive away, we are not hard to find. The group has been in mid-Missouri since 1977, and intends to be here a long time yet.

Around town
Most of the vehicles that come through this shop belong to people we are going to run into again — at a ball game, at church, in line at the grocery store. That is the practical reality of doing business in a town this size, and it is a better accountability mechanism than any customer survey.
The group supports schools, teams and local organizations across Jefferson City and Columbia. If you are raising money for something in the community and would like us to take a look, there is a form for it rather than a phone number that goes to voicemail.

Training that has to be renewed
Every technician here takes continuing education each year on current repair techniques, because the materials and the electronics change faster than any one course can cover. We hold Gold Class I-CAR status, which is the industry’s top training designation and something insurance companies specifically look for.
Certified by fourteen manufacturers

We handle the insurance side
Direct Repair relationships with most major carriers let us write the estimate, photograph the damage and submit it ourselves, including supplements for hidden damage. It removes the waiting that makes collision repair miserable.
